Bromley High School is proud to share the outcome of its recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection, which took place in April 2026.

The ISI, appointed by the Department for Education, visits independent schools across England to assess whether they meet the required statutory standards and regulatory requirements. We are delighted that Bromley High School met all of the required standards, with the report highlighting many of the strengths that define our school community.

The inspection report captures what lies at the heart of a Bromley High School education: a girls-first approach that empowers every pupil to find her voice, grow in confidence and fulfil her potential. Guided by our values of curiosity, compassion and courage, pupils are encouraged to embrace challenges, explore new opportunities and develop into confident, capable young women.

Inspectors recognised the ambitious curriculum and vibrant co-curricular programme that enable pupils to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. The report also highlights the exceptional teaching, strong pastoral care and deep commitment to wellbeing and safeguarding that support every pupil throughout her educational journey.

From Reception and Junior School through to Senior School and Sixth Form, the report reflects a consistent ethos of nurturing confidence, independence and leadership. Pupils benefit from an environment where they are encouraged to achieve their personal best while feeling supported, valued and known as individuals.

Above all, the report celebrates the strength of the Bromley High School community and the positive relationships that underpin school life. It reflects a place where every girl is inspired to pursue her ambitions and shape her own bright future.

Headmistress Mrs Codling said:

“We are delighted with the outcome of the inspection and proud that the report reflects so much of what makes Bromley High School such a special place.

It celebrates the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm and achievements of our pupils, and the support of our parents and carers. Most importantly, it recognises our commitment to ensuring every girl is known, valued and empowered to fulfil her potential.”

We would like to thank our pupils, parents and carers, and staff for their support throughout the inspection process and for their continued contribution to our thriving school community.
