Bromley High School was delighted to host the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) South East regional Girls Under 11 Football Festival this week.
The Festival provides a wonderful opportunity for young players to showcase their skills, build relationships with other teams, and enjoy a fun day of competition. Hosting the Festival was a great success, with 16 teams from across the region participating in the event. The afternoon consisted of groups stages, followed by a Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield competition, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere.
Our under 11 team’s impressive performance is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and passion for the sport. The players’ commitment to training and teamwork throughout the year paid off, and it was wonderful to see them reach the Cup quarterfinals.
Just like our previous Year 6, who reached the Plate semifinal in 2022, reaching the Cup quarterfinal this year will inspire our younger footballers to get involved in the sport and aim high. We look forward to hosting this event in the Summer of 2024, when our current Year 5 footballers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills.
Well done to our U11 team, represented by Livia, Kitty, Lydia, Alexa, Abigail, Eliza, Sophie, Amee, Hanna and Sienna.
