Year 6 pupils recently visited the prestigious Mathematical Institute in Oxford to attend the GDST Maths Conference. During an inspiring day, the girls enjoyed a lecture by mathematician Zoe Griffiths, learning a clever mathematical trick to determine the final digit of any 13-digit barcode.

Alongside competing against fellow GDST schools in a lively maths quiz, they mastered the art of modular origami by constructing a geometric dodecahedron using just 12 folded sheets of A4 paper.
