Hannah, a 2023 Bromley High School Alumna and Sports Scholar, had long set her sights on representing her country through athletics. That dream took a huge step forward in April, when she received a phone call from England Athletics: she had been selected to represent England in the 5k road race in Cardiff last week.
Her passion for running was first nurtured in junior school by a Bromley High School teacher, and over the years, the school played a crucial role in her growth.
“Bromley High School was a huge part of my life and sporting development; I wouldn’t be the young woman I am today without the determination and resilience they taught me.”Hannah, Bromley High School Alumna
During her time at Bromley High School, Hannah achieved standout success. She won the South of England under 20 1500m Championships in June 2023 with a personal best of 4:39min. Earlier that year, she captained Kent’s cross-country team at the English Schools Championships – an exceptional repeat honour – and earned a national bronze medal at the ECCA Nationals. She qualified for the Kent team every year she was eligible.
Now studying teaching and coaching at university, Hannah is balancing intense academic demands with high-performance sport. Cardiff marked her first England vest – and she hopes it’s just the beginning. Crossing the finish line in a personal best of 16:25min, Hannah proved she belongs on the national stage and continues to inspire with her dedication, talent, and determination.
This is just the beginning for Hannah, and we can’t wait to follow her journey!
