Today, the Junior School came together for a wonderfully green cause to celebrate JUST ONE Tree Day.
Pupils and staff arrived at school dressed in shades of green, filling the halls with environmental enthusiasm. To mark the occasion, the children gathered in the courtyard to plant a special new tree gifted to the Junior School by Mrs Dickerson. Adding a wonderful piece of school history to the moment, the tree was dug into the ground using one of the very spades used when work first began on the Junior School extensions in July 2019.
The tree planting marks the first of several celebrations for Mrs Dickerson ahead of her retirement later this year, honouring her 14 wonderful years of dedication and leadership as Head of the Junior School.
We look forward to watching the tree flourish over the coming years as it grows to bloom with vibrant pink petals and striking, heart-shaped red leaves, a lasting tribute in our courtyard that pupils and staff will enjoy for generations to come.
