Reception enjoyed a vibrant and engaging term, filled with creativity, exploration and hands-on learning.

Inspired by The Naughty Bus, the girls took part in hot seating activities, stepping into character before writing their own imaginative versions of the story. The Naughty Bus travelled to a range of exciting destinations, including London, Unicorn Land, Spooky Land and even through the ocean. The girls then brought their stories to life using mixed media art and technology, creating their own stop motion animations.

As part of their Space Travel topic, Reception explored green screen technology, transporting themselves out of this world and into outer space. During their Transport topic, the girls learned about road safety, taking part in a “bring your bike or scooter to school” day, where they explored the importance of helmets and reflective clothing. Some even learned to ride without stabilisers.

Science Week saw the girls enjoying exciting experiments, including bicarbonate reactions and colourful Skittles investigations. To conclude the topic, they welcomed a visit from their local community police, learning about emergency services and how to stay safe.

Reception also had great fun celebrating Pirate Day, embracing imaginative play and adventure as they arrived dressed as pirates and took part in themed activities.
