On Tuesday 14th October, the U16 Netball team travelled to Rainham to compete in the County Round Qualifier, joining 28 school teams from across Kent.
In the morning rounds, the girls made a strong start with impressive wins against Farringtons, Kent College Pembury, and Sydenham High, only narrowly missing out to Sevenoaks in a thrilling 7–9 match.
In the afternoon, Bromley High School was placed into a new group where the top two teams would qualify for the County Finals. Rising to the challenge, the team showed outstanding determination and skill, securing victories against Colfes, Highworth, and Invicta to finish top of their group and claim their spot in the finals.
The final deciding match was a true test of resilience. Trailing 3–5 at half time, the team regrouped after some inspiring words from Miss Maguire and Goal Defence Feyi. With fantastic support from the sidelines, the girls staged an incredible comeback to win 10–8.
A huge well done to all the players for their team spirit, determination, and belief. Good luck to the team in the County Finals at the end of November!
