This year, girls in the Junior School have shown incredible spirit and determination through a series of exciting sporting challenges.
A group of girls began with a brilliant but demanding biathlon. Although many were nervous beforehand, every girl tackled the course with courage and enthusiasm. It was a fantastic event, and we were so proud of their resilience and effort.
More recently, the Year 4 and 5 girls took part in the Greenwich Mini Marathon, with Year 4 raising over £1,100 for charity. On a particularly hot day, they all performed exceptionally well. Isabella set a strong pace, finishing the 4.2km course in around 20 minutes, with the rest of the group close behind in 22–28 minutes.
Among them, Lana and Orla, Year 5, returned to the event after running it last year. Both girls ran brilliantly once again, finishing 3rd and 6th respectively out of nearly 900 runners.
Zoe and several classmates trained diligently in the lead-up – joining adult parkruns over Easter – and their hard work certainly showed on the day.
