Congratulations to India in Year 13, who has been named the Bromley High School recipient of the Sondheimer Prize 2025 for History.
This was a particularly challenging decision due to the outstanding calibre of the Year 13 cohort. However, India was selected as a truly deserving winner in recognition of her dedication to the subject, strong academic performance, and plans to continue studying History at university.
The Sondheimer Prize was established by Professor Sondheimer in memory of his late wife, Janet, an alumna of Bromley High School and a Trustee of the GDST for 34 years. Janet was deeply passionate about education – especially women’s education. Each year, two prizes are awarded: one to a student at Bromley High School and one at South Hampstead High School. The prize recognises Sixth Form students who are going on to study History or a related subject at university.
Well done, India – this is a well-deserved recognition of your passion and commitment to History!
