Year 2 pupils had a great day out at Drusillas Park this week, experiencing close encounters with many small exotic animals.
Widely regarded as the best small zoo in Europe, Drusillas Park offers a fun day out to see hundreds of animals, as well as having a rainforest adventure park and play areas including immersive sensory experience
The girls had the wonderful opportunity to visit and touch King Royal the python, Henrietta the pgymy hedgehog, Malcolm the millipede and Colin the cockroach. It was explained that all of these animals come from Africa which is linked to their Year 2 topic this term.
“I really enjoyed holding and learning about the animals. The rides were really fun!” Bolu, Year 2 pupil
“I liked touching the cockroach, it felt weird.” Amelia, Year 2 pupil
