Year 10 and GCSE Music pupil Ramya gave fellow Bromley High musicians a short talk and performance on the Indian classical instrument the Veena.
Ramya has studied this instrument since Year 3 and talked about the way the sounds are produced, the challenges of this instrument, the levels of difficulty and the fundamental scales that act as a foundation for improvisation.
As part of the GCSE and A-level Music course, students study music from a wide range of cultures, so were incredibly fortunate for one of our very own students to be able to offer this first hand experience.
