Every fortnight, we will be showcasing pupils’ art and photography work.
Year 8 have been mastering acrylic painting. These studies of leaves on vibrant backgrounds are both by pupils in 8E – Aashi Srivastava and Victoria Brady.
The year 7 artists are exploring a theme, ‘Swarm’ and part of their project involved exploring the collagraph printmaking technique using the etching press to make their prints. The artists below are all from 7R: Louisa Parkin, Lia Coppola, Amira Solomon and Jeira Jeyanathan.
Meanwhile, Year 10 artists have really developed their oil painting skills exploring the ‘chiaroscuro’ technique of dramatic lighting combined with portraiture. The artist is Polly Williams in Y10.
