Our Junior and Senior swimming teams had a hugely successful day yesterday at the GDST Trust Swimming Championships in Guildford, with both over 14 and under 11 B teams winning first place and the under 11 A team winning second place.

The under 14 team also showed great determination, achieving 5th in the medley relay and 7th in the medley out of 23 schools. Ava was placed eighth place with her individual medley.

The day was full of excitement with all teams showing amazing team spirt and swims. The heats started in the morning with the U11 setting the standard with all swimmers achieving places in the final for every stroke.

The O14 senior squad showed amazing form in the heats, and all earned a place in the finals. Three records were broken by our Senior team; Annabel achieved 30.06s for backstroke (beating the GDST record of 31.12s), the medley relay team broke the record of 1.51.81m (beating the GDST record of 1.54.33m) and the freestyle relay team broke the record achieving 2.05.25m (beating the GDST record of 2.08.69m).

The U11 girls had huge success in the team relays, with both A and B teams winning their heats and scoring maximum points, with Hetty and Ava taking gold medals for their swims.

Congratulations to all the girls, we are so proud of all their achievements and success.
