The Bromley High Careers in Medicine event, held earlier this week, gave our pupils an insight into the rewarding career of medicine.
Speakers included Professor Debbie Shawcross, Professor of Hepatology and Chronic Liver Failure at King’s College London and Hyat El-Zebdeh and Agnola Anand, who are Bromley High alumnae currently training as doctors.
“I learnt about how multiple mini interview circuits work and what skills I should develop to help me do well in them, along with how I should utilise the four pillars of medical ethics to assist me in interviews.”Year 12 pupil
“My daughter is only in Year 9 and has recently taken a slight interest in the medical world from various programmes. I think this seminar helped her to understand more about what the television shows don’t mention. I am pleased to hear that even after all the new information she has taken in tonight, her interest in a medical future still remains. It was very useful hearing from 3 people at different stages of their medical careers.”Year 9 parent
