Last weekend, a group of Bromley High School girls took part in the London Youth Games race and represented the London Borough of Bromley at Parliament Hill.

A few weeks ago on Saturday 16th October, there was a qualifying race for the London Youth Games in the first of four Kent Leagues. Some girls qualified through this race and some girls qualified as a wild card.

The London Youth Games race took place on Saturday 20th November, there were 4 age categories and in the U11 girls, who ran 1.5km, U13 girls, who ran 2km and U17 girls, who ran 3km.

In the U11 category, Freya came 18th out of 154 runners. This result went towards the U11 girls team which came in 2nd place, with 31 points.

In the U13 category, Luciana came 3rd, Caitlin came 86th, Mariana came 92nd and Francesca came 133rd out of 205 runners. These results went towards the U13 girls team come in 2nd place, with 31 points.

In the U17 category, Hannah came 4th, Lily came 20th and Amelie came 52nd out of 96 runners. These results went towards the U17 girls team come in 1st place, with 17 points.

Overall, Team Bromley came 1st for the whole of the female categories winning a gold medal and trophy. Well done for your fantastic contribution Bromley High girls!
