Year 11 pupil Indie has held a bake sale to support RefuGym, a charity that runs exercise classes with and for the residents of a refugee camp in Athens.
Indie was first inspired to raise money for RefuGym after attending a School Minerva Lecture by its founder, Brittany, a Bromley High School alumna. She was in awe of Brittany’s commitment to help others, and wanted to do all she could to support her work.
Fellow pupils Bea, Emily, Ellen, Darcey, Olivia, Charlotte, Isabella, Min, S-P, Maggie and Jemma all helped Indie to bake cakes, and Daisy, Emily, Bea and Caitlin helped her sell them at break time.
“I was so pleased to see that so many pupils were keen to buy cakes to support such a good cause.”Indie, Year 11 pupil
