As part of their English learning about Shakespeare’s comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Years 5 and 6 enjoyed an interactive performance of the play by the Young Shakespeare company.
Girls played the parts of the lovers and members of Duke Theseus’s court; they created a wonderful soundscape of the fairy forest; and they laughed as the Mechanicals attempted to put on their play. It was a great way to understand a rather complicated story!
“The workshop gave me a better idea of how the storyline worked and how the character’s connected with each other.” Year 6 pupil, Sarah
