“The BHPA would like to thank each and every member of the Bromley High community for their support and fundraising efforts this year.”
The last year has seen many changes for the BHPA, the most notable of which is that we are now a registered charity with a recognised constitution and way of working. As part of our responsibilities we will be hosting an Annual General Meeting early in the 22/23 academic year. All members of the school community are welcome to attend and details of the time and date will be communicated in September. Our new brochure can be viewed in the attached pdf and gives an overview of all of the ways you can get involved and help as well as information on how we run.
In the meantime, we are extremely pleased to report that this years fundraising efforts have raised over £19,000 through a multitude of events and activities such as 2nd Hand Uniform Sales, the sale of Christmas cards and mugs, Mother’s and Father’s day activities and Junior School Movie / Fun with Friends Nights. We also welcomed back our Quiz and Disco night for parents as well as the ever popular family events; the Firework and Funfair spectacular and Christmas Market.
After the hiatus that COVID presented to us all, we are proud to let you know that the donations made (and pledged) to the school this academic year have amounted to a staggering £31,948! None of this, of course, would be possible without the time and dedication of not only our Committee members, but also the teachers, class reps and wider school community, so thank you all for making this possible and enabling us to enhance the girl’s experience at Bromley High. We’ve produced handy posters so you can see, at a glance, how we fundraised and donations that have been made / pledged to the school, please see page 11 & 12 of ‘A Guide to your Parents’ Association‘.
Work is already well underway for the next academic year and we look forward to hosting welcome drinks for new parents in September as well as our annual Fireworks and Funfair spectacular on Saturday 5th November and the amazing Christmas Market on Saturday 3rd December, please do mark these down in your diary and watch out for more info in the new year.
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable summer break.
