Last week, Year 8 pupils took part in an exciting and challenging Escape Room team-building event that put their problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking skills to the test.
The students enthusiastically embraced the bank heist-themed challenge, working together to crack a complex series of clues. From analysing fingerprint evidence and reviewing CCTV footage to tackling intricate logic puzzles and unlocking combination locks, the pupils demonstrated creativity, perseverance, and strong collaborative spirit throughout the experience.
“The difficulty level was just right. It was tough enough to feel like an accomplishment, but not so hard that it became frustrating. The hints from the staff running it were timed perfectly to keep us on track.”Dimitria

The event offered a fantastic opportunity for pupils to strengthen their teamwork, make collective decisions under pressure, and celebrate shared success as they progressed through each stage of the game.
Reflecting on the experience a Lily commented:
“It was a fun activity where we had to use teamwork skills to unlock padlocks to open a box. I really enjoyed it!”
For Zara, the challenge was not only enjoyable but enriching:
“I thoroughly enjoyed the escape box activity. This was an engaging, interactive and very fun experience that I would love to do again! I think that this event immensely enhanced my critical thinking as well as other important skills.”
It was a memorable and rewarding experience for all involved, leaving pupils with strengthened teamwork skills — and plenty of smiles!
“I really liked how it brought everyone together.” Jade
