Earlier this month, Bromley High School took part in the second round of the ESU Performing Shakespeare Competition 2026. The event brought together talented Key Stage 3 pupils from schools across London, each delivering Shakespearean monologues to an experienced judging panel.

Year 8 pupil, Zara, represented the school with a confident and expressive performance. She delivered a piece from Act 3, Scene 5 of As You Like It, taking on the role of Phoebe with poise and clarity. Her interpretation was both engaging and assured, capturing the character’s voice with maturity beyond her years.

Following a highly competitive round, Zara’s performance earned her a place in the regional finals, which will take place in May. As this is the first time Bromley High School has participated in the competition, the school is immensely proud of Zara’s achievement!
