Congratulations to Year 7 pupil Lucy for winning the Year 7 Model Cell competition, with her work being entered into the BioArtAttack competition run by The Royal Society of Biology on behalf of the school.
Every year, Year 7 pupils design cell models as part of their Science curriculum. This year the standard of model cells produced by year 7 was very high and the pupils were incredibly creative in their presentation. The science department deliberated over deciding the overall winner but are very pleased to announce that the title goes to Lucy , Year 7D. Her use of material and level of explanation of the adaptations of a human egg cell were fantastic.
Lucy’s cell model will be entered into the BioArtAttack competition which encourages young people to create science inspired art works as part of the run up to Biology Week.
Congratulations also go to our runners up, Tess, Krystle and Aara.
