Last Wednesday, five Year 5 pupils attended the GDST Shakespeare Day at The Globe Theatre.

The event brought together students from GDST schools across the country to explore The Comedy of Errors in the context of the Elizabethan era and its relevance today. The pupils took part in a range of engaging sessions, including Elizabethan costume workshops, sword fighting demonstrations, and practical drama activities led by Globe Education Practitioners.

The day concluded with a captivating one-person storytelling performance in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. Our pupils were enthusiastic participants throughout and represented Bromley High School with maturity and enthusiasm. They fully embraced every opportunity, showing curiosity and creativity while deepening their understanding of Shakespeare’s work. It was a truly enriching experience that brought the world of Elizabethan theatre vividly to life.
