Last night was a wonderful celebration of talent as Year 3 and Year 4 pupils performed Matilda the Musical.

The show told the story of an extraordinary young girl with a love of books and a sharp mind, who uses courage, kindness and a little bit of magic to stand up to injustice. Despite being misunderstood by her parents and ruled over by the fearsome Miss Trunchbull, Matilda discovered the power of friendship and believing in yourself.

Our pupils brought the story to life with energy and confidence throughout the performance. A clear highlight was the unforgettable scene where Bruce Bogtrotter stuffed his face with an enormous chocolate cake, which had the audience laughing and cheering.

The Year 3 pupils impressed everyone with their brilliant singing, while the Year 4 pupils delivered outstanding acting, confidently portraying their characters on stage. It was a joyful and memorable production for all involved.
