Year 11 pupils at Bromley High School GDST are celebrating an outstanding sweep of GCSE results this year, having attained a remarkable 28% grade 9s, with 51% at A* (grade 8 or 9). This is the school’s highest result since 2012 (not including years affected by Covid lockdowns).
In an impressive performance, 10% of Year 11 pupils achieved straight grade 9s. Nearly a fifth (19%) achieved 9 or more A*s (grades 8 and 9). Pupils performed well across all subjects, with 40% grade 9s across the sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). We were thrilled for Iris who achieved a stand-out moment scoring the top mark for OCR Geography GCSE across the country this summer.
Headmistress, Emily Codling, commented: “I congratulate all of our Year 11 pupils today on an incredible GCSE performance – their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm have really paid off. It has been a delight to work with this year group and watch their growth and I can’t wait to see their progression as they begin their Sixth Form adventures with us.”
