This week, the whole school came together to celebrate our Spring Term Wellbeing Week, which coincided with Children’s Mental Health Week. The theme, ‘This Is My Place’, provided a perfect framework to celebrate the love and laughter that define life at Bromley High School.

The week began with girls sharing love heart sweets and thoughtful messages of kindness. Many also spent their lunchtimes in the Wellbeing Hub, creating beautifully decorated ‘Love Rocks’.

On Tuesday, some girls enjoyed a relaxed film screening with sweet treats, while others engaged in reflective activities, writing personalised messages and making ‘Reasons Why I Love You’ jars.

“I enjoyed watching inside out with everyone at lunchtime! I also loved that you could get some sweets as well which made the experience even more fun as it felt like I was at the cinema!”Holly, Year 7 pupil

“I made a love jar for my mum, I can’t wait to give it to her.”Emily, Year 8 pupil

Wednesday showcased the strong sense of care and support in our community through a lively open mic event, where many girls confidently performed. Meanwhile, in the Wellbeing Hub, girls wrote messages of love on biscuits – which were very happily eaten afterwards!

The week concluded on Thursday with plenty of joy, featuring DJ Amponsah’s ever-popular bingo session, while others opted for Valentine-themed crafts in the Wellbeing Hub.

“The BINGO was amazing – a great way to spend lunchtime!” Rosie, Year 12 pupil

Wellbeing Week was a heartwarming celebration of connection, kindness, and the unique spirit that makes Bromley High School such a special place.
