Bromley High School is proud to have raised over £2,600 from last night’s Spring Concert to support all those affected by the unfolding humanitarian crisis in the Ukraine.

The event raised £1,300 and will be matched by the government as part of the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, meaning that an impressive £2,600 in total will be donated to help the people of Ukraine.

Pupils from the Senior School took part in the Spring Concert last night, a joyous evening of music-making, which involved almost all of the Senior School ensembles – 14 different items in total. The repertoire ranged from Haydn’s String Quartet ‘The Bird’, to ‘Send You My Love’ by Adele, from Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G minor to Mary Mary’s ‘Shackles’, and from traditional Scottish melody ‘The Parting Glass’ to the Prelude from the ‘Brook Green Suite’ by Holst.

There were almost 150 performers in total, with pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 performing their first ever Spring Concert due to the pandemic.
