Lower Sixth pupils delivered their final Primary Mathematics Masterclass to Year 5 pupils from our Junior School and other local primary schools. In total they taught three, two hour masterclasses on Pi, probability and codebreaking.
It was an extremely enriching experience for both the primary school pupils and the Sixth Formers, putting both groups outside their comfort zones, and allowing them to interact with people they wouldn’t usually.
“As the Sixth Formers running the classes, we felt it was really heartwarming to see the Year 5s so passionate about Maths, and we hope we have left a lasting impact that will encourage them to continue their Maths journey. Who knows, maybe one day they will be the ones presenting the Maths masterclasses instead of us!”
