This week, our Early Years pupils celebrated Diwali, the five-day Festival of Lights which is celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world.
Dressed in traditional Indian clothing, the pupils learnt about the story of Rama and Sita and made and decorated lanterns from the story. The girls also did some Indian dancing, tasted different Indian foods, made Rangoli patterns with playdoh and then had Mehndi patterns drawn on their hands. Both pupils and teachers had a wonderful day.
