Following last month’s Multicultural Own Clothes Day, Senior pupils have raised an impressive £2,935.26 for a refugee centre in Brixton.
The total money raised on the day was £1,467.63, which was doubled for the Big Give Christmas Challenge, making the total donation of £2,935.26. Thank you to everyone, and especially to the Diversity Committe and the Charities Representatives, who helped to make it such a good day.
The money the pupils raised has been donated to the Baytree Centre, a social inclusion charity for women and girls based in Brixton. The Baytree Centre is especially pleased that your donations will help to support the ‘Into School’ programme which helps girls who have recently arrived in the UK as migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers and are trying to restart their education at a new school.
