This term, students, staff, and parents have engaged in a range of sessions focused on AI, digital wellbeing, and online safety.

Mrs Shallcross and Miss McRoberts hosted a Middle School assembly for Years 5 to 8, exploring what AI is, how it affects daily life, and its future impact. Pupils analysed AI-generated images and discussed the ethics and implications of AI, including its influence on music and creativity. Senior school sessions during Wellbeing Week also emphasised curiosity and critical thinking when using AI, with a follow-up Online Safety Assembly planned after half term.

On Safer Internet Day, Junior School Digital Leaders led a thought-provoking assembly, encouraging pupils to explore AI responsibly and debate its creative potential, particularly in AI-generated music.

Parents attended a morning talk with EdTech Specialist James Fraser, who provided guidance on navigating the digital world and shared useful resources. James then ran workshops for Junior School students, covering safe online gaming, recognising scams, and protecting personal information. As Year 4 pupil Isabella-Grace reflected, the sessions encouraged critical thinking about what they see online.

We look forward to continuing to support our pupils and families in exploring technology safely and responsibly.
