This autumn has been an exceptionally busy and enriching term for Business and Economics, with students benefitting from a series of inspiring events designed to broaden their understanding of the world beyond the classroom.

Alumna Insight: Summer Bond at LAVA
We were delighted to welcome alumna Summer Bond, who enlightened students with the story of her professional journey since completing her A levels. Summer first undertook an apprenticeship at Christie’s Auction House, helping to manage the global movement of millions of pounds’ worth of art. She has since progressed to LAVA, a boutique Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory firm, where she works as an Operations Associate contributing to strategic growth, resource planning and process integration—an inspiring example of the exciting pathways open to our students.

Industry Experience: Mrs Tary’s Media & Marketing Talk
Year 12 Business students also gained valuable insight from Mrs Tary, who shared her experience of working for a media agency and developing promotional campaigns, including Sky Sports’ football season launch. Her talk offered real-world context for students studying promotional methods this term.

Building Confidence: Tutor2u Strong Foundations Workshop
Year 13 students rounded off the term with the Tutor2u Strong Foundations Workshop, which reinforced key content and strengthened exam technique ahead of January’s mock examinations.

We look forward to building on this momentum and are excited for the opportunities the spring term will bring.
