Seven A-level Music pupils joined girls from twelve other GDST schools at the Royal Academy of Music last weekend to take part in GDST Sing, the GDST’s inaugural singing event.

The exciting day of singing was led by composer and choral conductor Amy Bebbington, who inspired all of the singers and budding composers with her enthusiastic and expert leadership.

Pupils explored a diverse range of repertoires from Finnish folk song (which included enthusiastic audience participation from GDST parents), to a new work from GDST alumna Katie Jenkins, as well as some choral staples from different musical genres.

The pupils rehearsed during the day, culminating in a wonderful concert in the afternoon.
