This week our Year 9 A netball team competed in the GDST Netball Rally at Northampton High School.
After a tough set of games and early losses against Putney, Oxford and Portsmouth, the team managed to pull through and gain a winning streak of six games beating Sydenham, Norwich, Northampton, Newcastle, Sutton, and Streatham. Overall the team were placed 7th out of 20 schools.
“Overall, the day was very competitive which helped to develop the team and prepare us for the Kent tournament, which is coming up soon. It was our first competitive tournament this year, and we have learned that we can’t afford to be sloppy in the beginning. It was definitely a good experience for the team, and we are excited to play more competitive matches soon!” Matilda, Year 9 A Team Captain
