Two years ago, Upper Sixth pupil Aimee was selected by the organisation Childnet to represent Digital Leaders across the UK as a Digital Champion. She’s now been passing on her knowledge to Junior School Digital Leaders, on the importance of digital safety.
The process for selection involved completing an application, followed by an interview and presentation task. As a member of a group of seven students from different areas of the UK, Aimee uses the platform to speak to companies and people in power to advocate for change towards making the internet a safer place. She also uses the training from Childnet to teach parents, carers, teachers and students about online safety and the constantly changing online world.
Aimee has now used her training to coach the Junior Digital Leaders in our Junior School, with all of them now flourishing into amazing, confident leaders with extensive knowledge on digital safety. A huge thank you to Aimee for her excellent contribution to school life at Bromley High School.
“Aimee has been a very helpful guide in not just training us with the presentations, but also inspiring us with her own experiences about online safety. I know I will want to continue to be a digital leader and help others.”Ellie, Year 6 pupil
