Bromley High School was thrilled to welcome the Globe Players back on 7th May for a dynamic performance of An Inspector Calls for Year 9 pupils.
The talented actors did a fantastic job of transforming the text from page to stage, capturing the drama and tension of the classic play. What made the experience particularly engaging was their clever use of ‘breaking the fourth wall’, pausing at key moments to offer insightful analysis and help students deepen their understanding as the story unfolded.
Following the performance, pupils took part in an interactive workshop, where they explored key themes and embedded important quotes. It was a valuable opportunity to build both confidence and subject knowledge in a fun and memorable way.
Year 9 pupil Layla shared her thoughts:
“I thought it was absolutely superb; it was really clever how they used the stage. The actors narrated analysis during the play, which was very helpful.”
A huge thank you to the Globe Players for another inspiring and thought-provoking visit!
