This week, pupils had the incredible opportunity to welcome Siggi Rosen-Rawlings, Emmy-winning Director of Photography for The Traitors, to Bromley High School, where he delivered an inspiring talk on working in the creative industries.

During his visit, Siggi shared fascinating behind-the-scenes insights into the making of the hit television series, including a few memorable stories about presenter Claudia Winkleman, which pupils thoroughly enjoyed. He also spoke openly about his own career journey, offering a realistic and motivating insight into the varied pathways a creative career can take. Siggi explained how studying art at school can lead to a wide range of opportunities across film, television and related industries, helping pupils to see the real-world value of their creative studies.
As a special highlight, pupils were able to see Siggi’s Emmy Award and hear the inside story behind Claudia W’s iconic outfits, as well as the intricate filming of the famous round table scenes. Siggi also highlighted the current shortage of female camera operators in the industry – perhaps inspiring the next Emmy winner currently sitting in one of our classrooms.
