The Bromley High Medicine Insight Event will give attendees an insight into the rewarding career of medicine for students (and parents of students) from Years 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 from Bromley High and other local and GDST schools.

The opening speaker will be Professor Debbie Shawcross, Professor of Hepatology and Chronic Liver Failure at King’s College, London, who is involved in the selection process for prospective medical students at King’s College.

Her talk will be followed by an opportunity to hear from Hyat El-Zebdeh and Agnola Anand, who are Bromley High alumnae currently training as doctors. They will talk about their experience of the medical profession so far, and share advice and tips about preparing for the competitive admissions processes.
After these talks, there will be a question-and-answer session, and then a further chance to network over informal drinks.

Sixth-form students are welcome to attend on their own. We would ask that a student should be accompanied by no more than one adult in order to keep numbers of attendees manageable.
