Admissions FAQs

How many forms are there in the Junior School?

We are a two form entry school from Reception to Year 6.

Our main point of entry is into Reception (4+ entry). We have additional places available for Year 3 (7+ entry).

What are the Junior School application deadlines?

The closing date for 4+ 2021 applications is Monday 30th November 2020.

The closing date for 7+ 2021 is Monday 2nd November 2020.

When are your assessments and what do they involve?

4+ entry

4+ assessments will take place in January 2021.

The assessments usually take the format of a large social play session with girls from the same nursery or pre school followed by a small group session led by the Reception teachers and presented in a games format. However, we are currently reviewing our 4+ assessment process, and this year it is more likely to be on an individual basis.

7+ Entry

7+ assessments will take place in November 2020.

The process of selection is via academic assessment in English, Mathematics and Reading. In order for us to do this safely, all girls that are registered will be invited for a very small group assessment and a socially distanced Forest School session in our grounds.

Dates and times will be confirmed in writing shortly after the closing date.

Do you admit pupils in years other than Reception and Year 3?

The majority of the year groups are currently full but we do occasionally have vacancies arise.

How do I apply?

To submit an application, please complete our online application form.

Completing the form is simple and straightforward; you need to provide your personal details and information about your daughter’s education background. Entry to Bromley High School is competitive, therefore early applications are recommended.

A non-refundable application fee of £100 is payable at the time of applying.
