Year 9 pupils stepped out of the classroom and into the capital for an exciting new geography field trip investigating how and why London changes across its distinct neighborhoods.

Travelling by train and tube, pupils explored a diverse range of locations stretching from Brixton to South Kensington. Following North, South, East, and West transects across the city, the geographers collected qualitative data to analyse urban character and local identity. Using interactive geographical techniques such as mood mapping and soundscape creation, pupils captured how the sensory feel and atmosphere of London shifts depending on the direction traveled.

The hands on expedition gave Year 9 pupils a dynamic insight into urban geography, human environment interactions, and the changing face of modern London.
