As part of Bromley High School’s Languages Week, pupils had the opportunity to take part in an inspiring careers and languages workshop yesterday, led by Steve Eadon, former coach at Arsenal Football Club and founder of the award-winning Arsenal Double Club project.

Steve spoke to pupils about how learning languages can support future career opportunities and help develop valuable transferable skills. Through a range of activities, pupils explored how language learning builds leadership, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

The workshop also encouraged pupils to think about their future careers. Steve worked with pupils on writing effective job application letters and discussed the skills and qualities employers look for when recruiting staff.

Year 8 girls put their language skills into practice by playing football in Spanish. Pupils followed instructions, communicated with teammates, and completed challenges using Spanish vocabulary, demonstrating how languages can be learned in exciting and practical ways.
