Pupils enjoyed taking part in Wellbeing Week at Bromley High School last week
The week started with Mindful Monday with pupils across the Senior and Junior School creating sensory collages exploring textures and colours that encouraged calm focus. Thoughtful Tuesday invited pupils to take part in mood boosting activities that encouraged kindness, connection and self care.
For Wellbeing Wednesday pupils stepped outdoors for a silent disco as the walked through the stunning leafy grounds whilst listening to calming and grounding music. On Thankful Thursday, Junior School pupils wrote acrostic thank you poems dedicated to teachers, friends and family in our outdoor classroom.
The Digital Leaders supported younger girls from Year 3 and 4 to code micro:bits to show different emotions using the LEDs. The emotion images were triggered by using different inputs – buttons, tilting, shaking. The girls had lots of fun investigating and exploring their own emotion badges and we had some very imaginative LED image representations!
The week concluded with the joyful energy of Feel‑Good Friday. The quad buzzed with laughter as pupils enjoyed table tennis, giant Jenga and other games. It was a wonderful celebration of teamwork, play and the simple joy of being together.
Wellbeing Week reminded us all of the importance of slowing down, noticing small joys and supporting one another.
