From Milking to Milkshakes: Reception’s Dairy Adventure
This week, Reception have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the fascinating world of cows through a range of hands on activities and creative experiences. The children learned all about where milk comes from and had the exciting opportunity to try their hand at milking a cow. They loved discovering how milk travels from the farm to our homes and gained a better understanding of life on a dairy farm.
To bring their learning to life, Reception became young chefs, making their own delicious ice cream and refreshing milkshakes. The children enjoyed measuring ingredients, mixing carefully and tasting their drinks!
Our budding artists also explored the work of contemporary female artist Lauren Terry, whose colourful cow artwork inspired the children to create their own vibrant cow masterpieces. Using a variety of materials and techniques, they produced some fantastic pieces that showcased their creativity.
