Last week, Bromley High School’s Junior Girls (Years 7 & 8) and Inter Girls (Years 9 & 10) athletics teams travelled to Norman Park to compete in the County round of the English Schools Track and Field Cup 2026.
Despite some challenging weather conditions, the girls delivered outstanding performances across all events. Their determination and teamwork paid off, as it was confirmed that both teams finished in first place among all girls’ schools. As the highest-scoring teams, they now progress to the Regional Finals (Group A) – a fantastic achievement.
A special mention goes to Lucy, who broke the Year 8 800m school record for the second time, achieving an impressive time of 2:21.09.
This was a truly excellent team performance – congratulations to all involved on a superb and well-deserved success!
