Year 3 Junior School pupils recently took part in an inspiring STEAM workshop led by award-nominated illustrator Natalie Harris. Focusing on the intersection of art and technology, the girls explored paper electronics alongside illustration.
The girls brought their creativity to life by designing custom illustrations and engineering integrated paper circuits to illuminate their work.
Supported by Year 8 scholars and Year 12 Design & Technology A level students, the session enabled the Junior pupils to master circuit design while fostering essential resilience and problem-solving skills.
“It was such a joy to spend time with Year 3 today for my Paper Electronics Workshop! I was deeply impressed by their creativity, curiosity and most importantly their persistence. In the world of circuits, things don’t always work on the first try, but these young artist/engineers didn’t let a dim LED stop them. Meeting such a bright and determined group has been the highlight of my week. Keep shining Year 3!”Natalie Harris, Award-nominated illustrator
