The Senior School was a hub of mathematical curiosity this week as Year 12 A level Maths students hosted a specialist masterclass on Möbius bands for Year 5 pupils from local schools – Poverest, St. James, and Southborough – alongside Bromley High Junior School girls, who joined the session for a morning of hands-on topology.

The Year 12 mentors skilfully translated advanced concepts into engaging experiments, guiding the younger pupils through the paradox of a surface with only one side. The session showcased impressive leadership and community spirit, concluding with a collection of “impossible” paper shapes and a newfound appreciation for the quirks of geometry.

Bromley High School thanks all visiting pupils and staff for bringing such energy and enthusiasm to the lab!
