The Senior School was delighted to welcome renowned polar explorer and world record-holder Alex Hibbert for an unforgettable afternoon of exploration, inspiration and hands-on learning.

In a gripping talk, Alex transported pupils to the heart of the Arctic, sharing stories from his expeditions across some of the harshest environments. His passion and vivid accounts of life in extreme cold captivated our young geographers and Duke of Edinburgh pupils from start to finish.

Pupils were given the opportunity to handle and try on real expedition gear used by Alex on his journeys. This experience brought the realities of polar exploration to life, sparking excitement, curiosity and a newfound appreciation for the resilience required to survive in such extraordinary conditions.

Alex’s visit ignited a genuine sense of adventure across the school and deepened the pupils interest in the polar regions. We are incredibly grateful to Alex for sharing his expertise and enthusiasm with our community.
