Our school’s production of Beauty and the Beast opened tonight for the first of two magical performances, celebrating the hard work of students from Year 8 to Year 13.

Since October, the cast and crew have poured their energy into rehearsals both during and after school, building a show filled with heart, humour and spectacular moments. The story follows Belle, who bravely takes her father’s place in the Beast’s enchanted castle and slowly discovers the kindness and vulnerability beneath his fierce exterior.

Performed in two acts and accompanied by our talented school orchestra, the production sparkled with standout musical moments. Tonight’s audience was treated to a vibrant “Be Our Guest,” full of colour, energy, and joyful choreography. The Beast’s emotional “If I Can’t Love Her” and Belle’s heartfelt “A Change in Me” added depth, while the timeless “Beauty and the Beast” beautifully crowned the evening, creating an enchanting start to our two-night run.

Well done to the entire cast, backstage crew, musicians, and staff for creating a truly unforgettable performance.
