Last Tuesday, our newly formed ESU Public Speaking team – consisting of Year 10 pupil Bella and Year 11 pupils Kitty and Aarika – competed in the very first round of the competition.
Although this competition format was unfamiliar to pupils more accustomed to the British Parliamentary style of debating, all three pupils showed flair and poise, effortlessly advancing to the next round.
The judges were particularly impressed by their teamwork and the warmth they exuded. It was clear from the judges’ enthusiasm that they saw a great deal of potential in the Bromley High School team and consider them a team to watch.
As a result, all three pupils are very much looking forward to the next stage of the competition!
