Bromley High School is proud to announce that it has achieved the prestigious iPQ Gold Award this year, having signed up more than 30 pupils to the programme. This recognition comes with a bespoke badge and certificate, marking the school’s commitment to fostering independent, pupil‑led learning.

The iPQ (Independent Project Qualification) is a 15–20 hour project designed to prepare pupils for the style of learning they will encounter throughout senior school. It equips them with valuable skills in research, reflection, and presentation, while also providing a tangible project to showcase during future school applications.

Structured around five stages – Define, Research, Create, Reflect, and Present – the iPQ encourages pupils to take ownership of their learning. By choosing their own question and exploring creative solutions, they develop confidence in analytical thinking, independent study, and project pitching.

At the end of the process, projects are externally marked and awarded a grade of Pass, Merit, or Distinction. Bromley High’s pupils will present their work in May 2026, when new photographs will be taken to celebrate their achievements.

This Gold Award highlights Bromley High School’s dedication to innovation in education and its commitment to empowering pupils with skills for the future.
