We are delighted to celebrate the recent achievements of several of our talented pupils across a range of disciplines – from taekwondo and cross country to park runs and swimming. Their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship are truly inspiring, and each has represented Bromley High School and their clubs with pride. Read on to discover more about their fantastic successes!
Eleia, Year 5 – British Taekwondo National Poomsae Success
Eleia competed in the British Taekwondo National Poomsae competition 2025 at Nottingham University, representing Team Aquila across three divisions. She achieved:
- 🥇
Gold in K3 mini peewee pairs – securing her position as British National Champion in this division
- 🥈 Silver in K3 mini peewee female team
- 🥉 Bronze in K3 mini peewee individual
Earlier in October, she also competed in the Aquila Taekwondo National Poomsae competition, achieving gold in the individual division, silver in pairs, and bronze in the female team. Eleia’s dream is to represent Great Britain in international events, and we are proud to support her journey. Well done Eleia!
Year 5 & Year 6 – Bromley Schools Cross Country Champions
Twelve pupils from Years 5 and 6 competed in the Bromley Schools Cross Country Championships at Crystal Palace Park, with 32 schools and nearly 300 competitors taking part.
All six of our Year 5 runners finished in the top 100, with five placing in the top 30. Their outstanding performances crowned Bromley High Year 5 as Bromley Schools Cross Country Champions – only the third time since 1988, and the first since 2017, that we have won a team trophy!

Meanwhile, Year 6 pupils Orla and Lyla qualified to represent Bromley at the London Youth Games at Hampstead Heath – a fantastic achievement in itself. Lyla completed the race as part of the winning Bromley Girls team.
Isla, Year 5 – Impressive Park Run Milestone
Isla has recently completed her 25th Park Run, covering a total of 125km and earning her purple 25 t‑shirt. With a current personal best of 26:50, she is now training with Bees Academy this half term and looks forward to returning to Park Run to continue improving her times. Well done Isla!
Zoe, Year xxx & Isabella, Year xxx – Bromley Swimming Club Gala Success
Zoe and Isabella both competed in the Bromley Swimming Club gala this weekend, achieving excellent results:
- Isabella – 🥈 Second place in the 100m medley and 5th place in the 50m backstroke
- Zoe – 5th place in the 25m backstroke, plus a strong second place in her 50m front crawl heat, shaving nearly three seconds off her previous best. She also tried the 25m breaststroke for the first time, achieving a solid time.
This was Zoe’s first BSC junior gala, and both girls performed brilliantly – congratulations!
